Los Gatos Music in the Park All Stars

Los Gatos Music in the Park All Stars

LGMIP All Stars – July 23rd
Many of the South Bay’s Best Musicians – Continuing a new LGMIP tradition!

We’re pumped all over again about this!
For this historic Sunday, Los Gatos’ own Paul Kent is bringing together his favorite musicians from some of the South Bay’s best bands to continue the new Los Gatos Music in the Park tradition we started in 2016: The Los Gatos Music in the Park All Stars.

Last year, Paul chose outstanding musicians and vocalists from bands including:

  • The Houserockers
  • Sage
  • Long Train Runnin’
  • The Cruzers
  • The Cocktail Monkeys
  • Johnny Neri Band
  • Chrome Deluxe
  • The Garage Band, and
  • The Groove Kings

This is not a group jam – it’s an all star musical smorgasbord. A multi-course gourmet musical extravaganza.

What All Stars will be onstage this year? What will they play this year? Will MaryEllen Duell reprise “Stairway to Heaven?” Will Nick Chargin make like Stevie Wonder again? Puh – leeze! It’s too much fun to tease you with this, so we’re not givin’ it up that easily.

But we’ll tell you this: It’ll be a one-of-a-kind, special day of music that will happen only at Los Gatos Music in the Park. Last year, many of the audience of 4000+ said it was an all-time favorite.

And, for the 2nd year in a row, it’ll be talked about for a long time after it happens.

This will truly be history, and fun, in the making! Don’t miss it!

FAITHFULLY (Formerly Journey Revisited) – July 30th
Tribute to Journey

FAITHFULLY (Formerly Journey Revisited) creates the sound and energy of being at a Journey concert. (Nuff said, right)?!

Lead singer/band leader Jeff Salado and Faithfully combine the soulfulness and range of Steve Perry’s incredible vocals, with the dynamic instrumentals of Journey in their heyday.

At Los Gatos Music in the Park, Faithfully will recreate Journey hits like:
Don’t Stop Believin’, Anyway You Want It, Faithfully, Lights, Separate Ways, Open Arms, Lovin Touchin Squeezin, Dixie Highway, Anytime, Who’s Cryin Now, Still They Ride, Just the Same Way, Stone in Love, Wheel in the Sky, Mother Father, Be Good To Yourself, and more.

Besides Jeff nailing Steve Perry’s vocals and stage presence, Faithfully’s band members are talented and impressive:

  • Michael Klooster (Keyboards, also keyboard player in Smash Mouth)
  • Jay Gore (Lead Guitar, also lead guitar for sax legend Mindi Abair)
  • Ron Manaog (Drums, who among other things was Garth Brooks’ drummer for a Tonight Show appearance)
  • Ben White (Bass)

And at Los Gatos Music in the Park, your cost for all this awesomeness stays the same. Zip. Nada.

So we’ll be expecting you for Faithfully on July 30th – and we’ll party together like rock stars.

Pride and Joy

Pride and Joy

PRIDE & JOY – August 6th
R & B, Motown to Today

Pride & Joy is one of most polished and high-energy bands in the Bay Area. A tight, 9-piece band, P&J recreate the ensemble sounds of the Motown era with four outstanding singers – swapping vocals with passion and electricity. Pride & Joy create a great feeling, and their music inspires you to get up and dance. (They also do an amazing job with their stage presence, look, choreography, and arrangements).

They regularly play the top clubs (Bimbo’s, Great American Music Hall, Club Fox, Mystic Theatre) and corporate & private events, but this is their first time at Los Gatos Music in the Park.

Focusing on Motown, Pride & Joy also mixes in 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and a few more current pop dance favorites. You can expect them to rock tunes from artists like:
Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5, Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, The Pointer Sisters, Commodores, Aretha Franklin, Brian Setzer, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Bonnie Raitt, Prince, and many more.

Pride & Joy will make the Los Gatos Music in the Park audience feel they’re part of the performance. And their performance at Los Gatos Music in the Park on August 6th is not to be missed!

TAKE2 – August 20th
Rock/Pop Party Band

Take2 is a super-talented, rocking, 8-piece party band with 5 lead vocalists.

Bandleader Chaz Ross has been a force in top Bay Area bands for years, and he’s still cookin’. He’s armed with a five-octave voice range – and regularly belts out Steve Perry-esq vocals translation: he ROCKS the high notes). The other 4 vocalists are excellent too, often working together on tasty harmonies.

As you watch Take2, you’ll quickly realize they regularly challenge themselves with harmonies and transitions many other bands wouldn’t do, and they constantly add current hits to their play-list.

With a huge songlist, you may hear Take2 play:
Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, Van Halen, AC/DC, Ke$ha, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Karmin, Fergie, The Police, The Emotions, Sia, Rihanna, Journey, Madonna, LMFAO, and much more.

Take2 will keep your summer rockin’ – August 20th at Los Gatos Music in the Park.

Featured on national TV while playing at SAP Pavilion during Super Bowl week, NFL Network Host Rich Eisen marveled (as Pop Rocks lit up the crowd during a return from commercial break), “These guys are just KILLIN it!!”

Last year, they had the Los Gatos Music in the Park crowd of 4300 people in a dancing frenzy. On August 27th, it’s again time for Los Gatos to “go crazy” with Pop Rocks!
